Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and World Series Champion Curt Schilling to reveal “Project Mercury” at Comic-Con 2010

EA and 38 Studios announced that the first details from the highly anticipated RPG, codenamed “Project Mercury”, will be revealed during a panel at Comic-Con International 2010 on Thursday, July 22nd, at 1:15 PM in Room 6A. The special panel and Q&A session will be moderated by Spike TV’s Geoff Keighley, and will feature 38 Studios’ esteemed group of visionaries including Todd McFarlane (creator of Spawn), author R. A. Salvatore, Ken Rolston (Lead Designer, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion) and 38 Studios’ founder and retired Major League Baseball player Curt Schilling, a three time World Series Champion.

This event will mark the first public discussion about this ambitious new game and how this talented team came together. Panel attendees will see the premiere of the game’s first trailer, directed by McFarlane, and will also receive a Comic-Con exclusive, limited edition poster.

After the panel, from 3 to 5pm, all four panel members will be conducting a limited signing of the “Project Mercury” poster in the autograph area of the Sails Pavilion. For information on the limited signing, visit Comic-Con International’s website RIGHT HERE.

Trivia: The 38 Studios name is no doubt based on Schilling’s blog 38pitches.com, which he started prior to the 2007 baseball season. Schilling’s Twitter handle is also @gehrig38.
